The bravades of Saint-Tropez, which take place for more than 450 years on 16, 17 and 18 may, are the best manifestation of the commitment of the Tropéziens to their glorious military past and their deep devotion to their Patron Saint.
In the year 68, Saint-Tropez, refused publicly to Nero, to recant his Christian faith. It made him decapitate, and then his body, placed in a boat with a rooster and a dog symbols of contempt to the Emperor, was thrown on the Arno.
